414 visits

Each strip is one visit: a cell per choice, paler the older the film. A box set is one cell however many films are in it, because it was one choice. The order is the order Criterion's own page lists them in, which is probably but not provably the order they came off the shelf.

When the closet is open

71 of the 414 visits were filmed in October, against 18 in August, and October is the busiest month of every year that carries enough visits to have one. Filming is also a weekday job: 376 of 414 visits were filmed between Monday and Friday, Tuesday most of all, and it comes in batches. 414 visits were filmed on 357 separate days, never more than 3 in one.

How much cinema is one choice

A choice is not a unit of anything. David Cronenberg made 4 choices and walked out with 43 films and 72.9 hours; Rosine Mbakam made 4 and walked out with 4. The difference is box sets, and it is why this site counts choices and films apart.

384 visits were filmed with one guest in the room and 29 with two. The pairs take more: 10.97 things on average against 8.05. With 29 of them that is a description of those visits rather than evidence that a second person makes a longer list, and guests filmed together are excluded from the similarity comparison for the same reason: they picked from one list.
